1. When can I schedule a showing?
Parkland Acres will only schedule showings for vacant lots if available. All other showings should be conducted either by your realtor or the seller you are purchasing a home from. Keep in mind that just because you are looking at a home to purchase on the property, doesn't necessarily mean you are automatically approved for residency in the park.

2. Who needs to fill out an application?
Any adult over the age of 18 will fill out an application and pay the non-refundable application fee.

3. Do you run background checks?
Yes. As part of your rental application, we will be requesting background checks from the local police or RCMP detachment. Reach out to your local police unit to have a background check performed. You can submit a copy to our management team during the application process.
If you have any concerns about what may be on the background check, please discuss this with us prior to paying for the rental application.

4. Do you require a security deposit?
Yes. The amount varies per rental and can be anywhere from 1-3 month's rent.

5. How long is the lease term?
Leases are month to month with special requirements for ending residency on both the tenant and landlord side. Terms and conditions are outlined in the lease agreement.

6. How quickly can I move in?
We will work to get you moved in according to the timeline that works best for you. Your move in date depends on the status of the property you will be leasing.

7. What does the tenant portal do?
The Tenant Portal is an online tool provided for you at no cost. You will be able to:
- Pay your rent online.
- View your previous and upcoming payments.
- Add your renter's insurance information (if needed).
- Submit and track maintenance requests.

8. Why should I rent with you?

9. If something is broken, will you fix it?
Parkland Acres is responsible for maintaining the common areas and utilities in the park. If you have a concern, please bring it to our management's awareness so they can address it. Not ever issue is the responsibility of the park management by default, but we will coordinate with the necessary parties to resolve the issue promptly.

10. How often is rent due and how can I pay it?
Rent is due monthly on the 1st of each month in full.
Depending on the property, you may be able to pay rent automatically online through credit card, debit card, or ACH (eCheck wire transfer).
One-time payments may also be available in your tenant portal.
If ACH is available, the money will not leave your account immediately, so you will need to leave the balance in the account until the process is completed.

11. How do I access my Tenant Portal?
If the tenant portal is enabled for your property, you will receive an automated invitation to your email. You can also click here to watch a video on using the portal.
